Introduction The information contained in the following links focuses on the members of the Board of Supervisors, the members of our staff and the consultants we employ.
The Northern Palm Beach County Improvement District is governed by a five-member Board of Supervisors who are elected by the landowners and/or popular vote within Northern’s boundaries. In 2005, the Florida Legislature approved changes to the Northern’s enabling legislation (H.B. 767). The change allows two of the Board Members to be elected by popular vote in the November elections. The remaining three Board Members will continue to be elected via ownership of each acre, or fraction of land thereof, one vote. These positions are elected at the Annual Landowners’ Meeting, held in November. Office terms for each Supervisor are now four years. If a vacancy occurs, the remaining Supervisors fill the vacancy until the next annual election. To learn about the individual Board members see the Northern Board link.
