Deborah Diaz was sworn in on November 16, 2005, in Seat No. 3. Ms. Diaz resides in Jupiter and is a certified public accountant with Rampell & Rampell, P.A. Deborah is the current Board President and served as Vice President of the Board of Supervisors in 2007/2008. She has provided comprehensive services to local governments, primarily financial and performance audits, organizational analysis, internal control reviews, and process improvements. She has worked with many local governments, including the City of Palm Beach Gardens, the Village of Wellington, and the Loxahatchee River Environmental Control District. Deborah is a member of the Board of Directors at Riverside National Bank and serves on the bank’s Audit and Compliance Committees.
Ron served as president of the Board in 2006 and has been a Board Member since 2003. In 2008, Ron was elected to Seat No. 4. As the Florida marketing director for Brown & Caldwell, Ron has been a trusted consultant to public, private and federal agencies across Florida for more than 30 years. His clients value his extraordinary commitment to client satisfaction. Ron has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and a master’s degree in environmental engineering. His credentials also include State of Florida Registered Professional Engineer, Licensed Professional Surveyor, Licensed Real Estate Broker, and Arbitrator and Mediator for the American Arbitration Association. Ron is a past officer of the American Society of Civil Engineers and has served on the FES Statewide Leadership Committee. He is an active participant in numerous national and local engineering societies, and has successfully displayed the technical savvy, managerial and negotiation capabilities to deliver creative solutions to complex engineering challenges.
Ms. Jacobs has served on the Board since 2004 in Seat No. 2. In 2006, she was the first popularly elected Board Member and served as the Board President in 2007/2008. She is a certified public accountant with more than 25 years of experience. As director of taxation and partner in the firm of Goldberg, Jacobs & Company, LLP, she specializes in the audit, taxation, and financial review aspects of accounting.
Seat No. 5. Matthew is the second popularly elected Board Member, being sworn in on November 19, 2008. He resides in Juno Beach and is a certified public accountant with Florida Power & Light Co. He previously worked with Bank of America. In addition, Matthew works to help Down syndrome children, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Seat No. 1. Adrian is a new Board Member elected November 19, 2008, in the Landowners Election, and he is a resident of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Bringing general management consulting expertise to the Board from a wide range of industries and organization types, Adrian specializes in planning, writing and implementing needed computer software to formalize his recommendations into working management “tools.” With a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree and Master of Business Administration degree, Adrian has worked with numerous national and international companies and government agencies, including the Port of New York Authority, DuPont, the Alyeska Pipeline Co., Union Pacific Railroad Company, CONOCO, ALCOA, and the South Florida Water Management District.
